We are an International English speaking Christian Church  Fellowship with translation into Portuguese and we welcome you all in the name of Jesus Christ.

Oasis is an Apostolic / Prophetic ministry that also hosts Christian Conferences here in the Algarve.Our heart is to see the Body of Christ functioning as one in the Unity of the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Algarve to be one of the spiritual  Gateways into Europe and that the Spirit of the Lord is about to bring the Fire of Reformation through this Gateway to Europe.

We are an  Ordained ministry team through

Christian International Europe  and we have other Apostles and Prophets and Pastors who act as spiritual watchmen over our ministry and fellowship.

. Oasis has a heart for Kingdom Building.We believe in a new Generation of Kingdom people working together with the Heart and Mind of the Father to accomplish His will here on earth as it is in Heaven.

Revelation Ch 11 v 15   And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

We train & equip the saints in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and believe in body ministry where the members of the fellowship are encouraged to minister to one another in the love of the Father, the blessings of Jesus; and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

EPHESIANS CH 4 V11

We Believe

We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and we believe the Bible to be the Inherent word of God.  

We believe the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today but above all the Gifts we believe in Love being the greatest gift (1 Corinthians Ch 13 v 13)

Generational Fellowship

We are  none-denominational.

We  believe  in a Generational Biblical Foundation . We believe every born again believer is unique and important to the Body of Christ.

 We endeavor to support and release every person into their God given gift to build and edify the Kingdom of God.

Ordinary People 

Oasis is formed by ordinary people doing extra ordinary exploits  from many different Nations coming together to fellowship and  Worship the Lord Jesus in many different ways styles and tongues ,

including English , Dutch, Portuguese, Brazilian, South African , Belgian, African, Irish, Scottish, German , & others !

Why Fellowship and not Church?

We see Church as the greater body of Christ, therefore (The Church ) being the whole body of Christ joined together by the Power of the Holy

Spirit  and in the Love of the Father.

Michael was born in the UK, and raised in the West Country near Taunton, Somerset.

Johanna (Yoka) was born in Holland and moved to the UK when she was 21.They are married and have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. 

They were both raised in Christian households and were born again in an Elim Pentecostal Church in Minehead, Somerset,From there  they were trained & equipped and sent out to minister the gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ.

They  were called by the Spirit of God to a specific English speaking Church in the Algarve in 1998 whilst visiting Andrew Wommack Charis  Bible School Conference in the UK.They moved in obedience to Lagos in the Algarve in July 2000.

On arrival at their new church in Lagoa the Spirit of the Lord came upon Michael and released the gift of Prophesy that spoke into the church leadership. We were  accepted and fellow-shipped there for three years.

In the spring of 2004 until the spring of 2006 we helped establish a new church in Tavira Algarve founded by Mark & Deni Stone,Then called Tavira Christian Fellowship ,we worked with fellow Prophet / Pastor Randy Brown from the U.S.A.

We then passed the leadership on to what is now called Tavira Christian Centre.

In 2004 we were instructed by a prophetic word to form Algarve Fire Ministries here in Lagos which hosted small Prophetic conferences (usually quarterly 3 day events).  

These conferences trained and equipped believers in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit,

These conferences have been very successful with people and other ministers coming from far and wide to give and or  receive ministry in the Power of the Holy Spirit.

We hosted a 3 day breakthrough Prophetic conference in the Old Fire Station inside the city walls of Lagos in June 2005.It was a full house, many were delivered and set free in Jesus name.

We hosted other Prophetic events including the Gateway to Europe conference with Guest Speaker Dr Sharon Stone from C.I. Europe  

In October 2008 we hosted another 3 day prophetic event, the house was full with saints from many nations and no-one wanted to go home, it took until the 5th day to persuade some of the local people it was time to go home by saying we would meet on the following Tuesday!

From here we started weekly meetings, we have wanted to stop a few times but we were told “You can’t stop, where can we get a drink?,

This is our OASIS!!!”

We had been told many times over the years by various Prophets and Pastors that we were called to start a Church but we did not want to move out of Gods timing and have waited until we received a sure confirmation.

Finally in October 2010 the word of the Lord came to us, this time in such a way with signs and wonders that we had to acknowledge the calling on our lives and we were obedient and with the help of others Oasis Christian Fellowship was birthed on its due date in 2011.
